on our website, please make a note of the item number and then contact us
to make sure it is still available and to check shipping costs. We prefer
you to email us (to avoid time zone problems with our international
customers!), but we’d welcome your phone calls too. Naturally, we’re
happy to send you further
photographs and details if these will be helpful to you.
Once you have agreed a purchase, we’ll reserve the item for you for 7 days. If we haven’t received your payment in that time, we’ll remove your reserve. If you’re paying by cheque, we’ll keep the item reserved for you for an extra 10 days, until your cheque clears. We aim to ship all items within 2 days of cleared funds.
We’ve chosen all the items in our stock with care, and we’re sure that you and your family will be delighted with them. However, if you’re not totally satisfied, we’ll gladly refund the purchase price.

Prices are quoted in GB£ and exclude shipping costs. Prices may be varied at any time, but we will of course honour the current prices shown on our pages at the time of your order.
We accept payment by debit or credit cards via PayPal - just advise us and we'll send you a PayPal invoice (you don't need to have a PayPal account). We also accept GB£ cheques, as well as bank transfers (please ask for details). Don’t send cash in the post!
There is no VAT (UK sales tax) charged on the prices shown in this website.
If you’re near London, you may wish to collect your purchase personally. Otherwise, we’ll pack your purchase with particular care, to prevent damage or breakage, and send it to you by insured delivery. Note that a signature is required when the package is delivered. In the rare event of damage during shipping, please notify us and the shippers immediately, and retain both the damaged item and the packaging for inspection.
We’ll complete any required Customs paperwork, but any duties, taxes or charges levied in your country are payable by you on receipt of your purchase. We find that duty is rarely charged (antique pottery is duty free in most countries). Sometimes, Customs clearance can cause a delay in delivery, which we’re afraid is just a fact of life!
As collectors, we take particular pride in describing our stock as accurately as we can. The photographs we show are authentic and unretouched. If there are any significant flaws in an item, we detail them. So we’re confident that you’ll be very happy with any item you buy from us.
However, if for any reason your purchase doesn’t thrill you, just let us know by email within 48 hours of receipt. We’ll give you detailed instructions for returning the item to us within 10 days. On receipt of the returned item, we’ll refund your purchase price (but not the shipping or insurance costs).
You’ll appreciate that we need the item to be returned in exactly the same condition it left us, and we always fully document and photograph each item prior to despatch. This guarantee is of course in addition to your statutory rights.
